Guide

When a product title contradicts its specs

Titles are written by hand and often edited separately from the spec columns, so they drift apart. Shoppers notice, and returns or questions follow. Fictional examples:

Title: Green Tea 500 g
Size column: 250 g <- disagree

Title: Sparkling Water 12 Pack
Pack size: 6 <- disagree

Title: Olive Oil 1 L
Weight (grams): 250 <- a litre of oil weighs roughly 900 g

How to check

  1. Pull out the number-plus-unit from each title (500 g, 12 pack, 1 L).
  2. Convert units (1 kg = 1000 g) and compare with the matching column.
  3. Review every mismatch by hand — sometimes the title is right, sometimes the column, sometimes the title describes a bundle.

Limits

A mismatch shows that two fields disagree, not which is correct; confirm against the physical product or the manufacturer. The free tool automates steps 1–2 in your browser without uploading your file.
